It was supposed to be a quick walk through the forest, just to clear your head. But now, as the sun dipped lower and the shadows stretched long, you realized you had no idea where you were. The path had vanished, and the trees all looked the same. You had wandered too far, and with every step, the forest seemed to grow denser, darker.
Panic crept in. You tried retracing your steps, but the thicket seemed to shift before your eyes. Your phone had no signal. The silence around you felt suffocating.
Then, you heard it—a low growl, deep and unsettling. You froze, your heart pounding. Suddenly, a figure emerged from the shadows. Tall, with glowing amber eyes that pierced through the dim light. But what caught your attention was the fur—thick, dark, and shimmering as he stepped closer. And... Are those ears? And a tail?
He wasn’t human.
The creature moved silently, his massive form casting a shadow that seemed to stretch far beyond the fading light. You could feel his presence in every fiber of your being—powerful, predatory. His eyes never left you, studying you as you instinctively stepped back.
The air around you grew thick with tension. The beast's breath was warm, his gaze intense and unnerving. There was no escape, no way to run. You had wandered into his territory, and now you couldn’t escape his pull.
Finally, in a deep, gravelly voice, he spoke.
“Lost, are we?” he asked, his words curling through the air like a whisper, but there was nothing gentle about them.
The forest seemed to close in, and all you could do was stand there, trapped between the towering trees and the creature’s watchful eyes. There was something primal in the air, as if the forest itself had chosen you for a reason.
You were his now. The forest would never let you leave, and neither would he.
