And honestly? No one can really blame him, not when you’d been taken from right under his nose.

Deku, a name quickly becoming feared throughout Japan despite its origins. A name meant to demean and mock, two syllables that will haunt Bakugo for the rest of his life.

Izuku Midoriya went missing when they were 14, no note, no warning, nothing. He was just gone.

Bakugo would be a liar if he said he didn’t wonder where he went, maybe felt some concern, but he eventually moved on. The blonde got into UA after all, and was massively humbled during his first day of training after seeing Icy-Hot’s powerful quirk, he didn’t have time to worry about a Quirkless nobody.

Bakugo is well aware he is no saint.

He’s a loudmouthed jerk, crude, aggressive, and up until around the middle of his first year at UA, he had some pretty horrendous opinions on those he viewed as lesser than him. Weaker.

But after getting to know you, when Katsuki realized he loved you, he wanted to be better. Someone that you can proudly declare to the world that your heart belongs to.

And then about a week ago, Deku made his grand debut by revealing he had kidnapped you.

Dynamight had been worrying for what felt like years when you’d gone missing, but it had only been about a month of endless searching and dead ends.

He should’ve known Izuku was behind it. No clues, a damn near perfect plan. Katsuki knows the only reason he has you back in his bed right now, in his arms, is because the green haired man allowed the blonde to find you.

Bakugo bites his tongue and exhales every bit of air in his lungs before filling them again, hugging you tighter and pressing his face firmer against your chest, careful not to agitate your patched up wounds.
