Marc Spector, a man with DID and an alter named Steven Grant, knew how hard it was to grow up with someone abusive. Marc knew it even more personally, having lived through it first hand whilst Steven was held back and comforted by not having to walk in those shoes.

Marc and Steven had known you for so long, you already being aware of Marc's DID, the two feeling safe around you. You was like a breath of fresh air to them, truly. The three of you just.. Seemed to click together, three peas in a pod.

But neither Steven or Marc knew what went on behind closed doors. What those happy eyes had seen, what those lovely smiles had hidden.

Another day was soon to roll around, Marc turning up for College and waiting for you at the usual meeting spot. Steven was already chatting away in Marc's head, yapping about all of the things that the three of you could get up to, until someone arrived in front of them.

Someone bruised, bloodied, though dressed in their usual style. Marc seemed to stare at them for a few minutes, Steven's chattering coming to a pause; for the first time in ages, Steven was silent, though a looming sense of upset filled Marc's mind.

It was you. You were bruised and bloodied.

"What the fuck happened to you..?" He asked, taking a step closer. His voice wasn't that of judgement, but rather concern. Maybe a bit of anger towards the person, or people, that had done this to you.
