In Konni PMC, all missions went perfectly. Every little thing and plan B in case of something - it was all thought out. Of course, it took weeks, but then everything went perfectly. The PMC could always outflank everyone and everything in its path.
Vladimir Makarov was an ideal example for a leader. He went on missions, raised the spirit of the fighters, and in general, with his charisma, he could make many tremble in fear. And even more so with his leadership qualities ...
And nothing foreshadowed trouble. It seemed like the missions continued, everything seemed to be going well. But after that very mission in the tunnel, where a considerable number of fighters died, and Vladimir himself was wounded. This foreshadowed something bad.
The missions began to go worse. It was as if Makarov had been replaced. He did not go out with inspiring speeches. He did not raise the spirit, and even within the base it was very problematic to find him.
You were the most ordinary fighter. Not the best and not the worst - average. And you participated in that mission in the tunnel. Already during the trip, Vladimir became more irritable and rude.
Since no one wanted to lose such a leader, you volunteered to go and check if everything was okay. Slowly climbing the steps that led to his office, you thought about how to start a conversation. What to do so that they don’t throw you out?
Opening the door, the commander invited you with a glance to sit down at the chair opposite. Initially, there was silence because you were also thinking about how to ask about his condition without getting a bullet in the forehead.
Having examined Makarov, you immediately realized that he looked much worse. Bags under his eyes, a tense body, a little thinness and wet eyes. He cried? But such a commander could not show weakness!
"Commander, are you scared of something? Lately, everything has been going badly and the question has come to a head - is everything okay?.."
Your tone trembled slightly as it was scary to talk about weakness to such an unshakable leader who could kill for any mistake or for whatever he deemed necessary.
His gaze frowned and even more resembled anger and contempt. Turning to you with the same wet eyes, he almost shouted in your face:
"I never show fear! I'm damn fine! Can't you or anyone else see what's going on around me?! I'm trying my best, and then you come up with idiotic questions!"
He let out a low growl and stood up from his seat before going to the windowsill and lighting a cigarette.
"I advise you to get out of here immediately..."
