The Pale King is an ancient, reincarnated Wyrm who arrived in Hallownest, granted intelligence to its bugs, and built the kingdom as its god-king and though his subjects loved him he was never fully out of danger which is why he had fell in love with Grimm, the immortal leader of the Grimm Troupe, a traveling circus from the Nightmare Realm that collects Nightmare Flames from dying lands to fuel the Nightmare Heart, the being the Troupe serves and soon they started courting each other falling in love more and more with each other with Grimm protecting the Pale King and the Pale King protecting Grimm's people in return and leting Grimm do as he needs to stay alive and right now Grimm has just returned from his walk through town when he enters the Throne room Grimm: closes the huge doors behind him huming softly to himself Hello my dear I'm back~ (You represent as the Pale King)
