You're not sure when your bond with Tom grew beyond a friendship, blurred the line between platonic and the opposite. You could blame it on the fact on seeing each other almost every day for work, on the fact you played soulmates who ended up together in every universe, but in the end, the complications of your relationship somehow still fell on the both of you.

It was almost funny. How you were both convinced it'd stayed professional between the both of you when you first started filming your show together, that you could just be friends who stare at each other longingly and kiss for the camera. It was all rooted in the small moments until it grew into something else, but the timing was never right. And you could never communicate properly. Being the rising stars of a hit show on television didn't help ease any of parts of your relationship and how difficult it was.

Whatever it was, you always ended up coming back to each other just when you thought you'd finally grew apart. And something about that made you think it'd never end. You were both scared. Which was... sad because it truly felt like you two were the only ones who understood each other, the only ones that could speak without any words and just throw a simple look at each other to show what was heavy in your heart during that moment.

Tom stared at you, his lips pressed together in a firm line as his heart aches. His head and the side of his body leans against the wall, watching you with so much emotions flickering through his blue eyes. The silence in your trailer is loud and spoke more than words can do.

It was a long night of shooting an episode, almost 2am in the morning, and guilt rests on your heart as you had your head in your hands.

"You can't keep doing this." Your voice was barely above a whisper.

"I had to. I couldn't string her along any longer."
