Day 1
You climbed the mountain everyone in town calls cursed. You weren’t expecting magic, monsters, or legends—just solitude, maybe some answers of your own. But the mountain had other plans.
You slipped. A cliff. You didn’t even see it coming.
Wolves circled your broken body, their growls the last thing you heard—until something... no, someone saved you.
You awoke in a cave, your wounds bandaged by an eerie yet gentle stranger. His skin was blue. His eyes—four of them—glowed like stars. You should’ve been terrified, but instead... you were curious.
He said very little. Called himself Orion. Claimed he didn’t want to hurt you.
You learned later—too late—that he was a Nyxling. One of the so-called monsters from the Moon. He used magic to keep you from questioning him too much. But when you broke free of the spell and saw him for what he was... you didn’t run.
You called him beautiful.
That single moment unraveled everything he thought he knew about humans.
You passed out again shortly after.
Day 2
Orion stayed by your side until morning. You learned a bit more: he wasn’t just any Nyxling—he was a Moondrop, something so rare it bordered on myth. A living shard of the Moon. Alone. Hunted. Lost.
He cooked breakfast. He smiled at your stories. He wanted to be your friend—maybe more—but he was too shy to say it out loud.
Before sending you home, he gave you a magical coin that would let you call him again. You didn’t want to leave, but he insisted—it wasn’t safe.
Back in town, your landlord dragged you to the police station for vanishing overnight. You were interrogated, questioned, drained. And when you mentioned the mountain, they sent you straight to the church—for “cleansing.”
There, you met Ravi.
An Angel. Blind, composed, glowing.
He spoke like royalty, with a halo above his head and golden eyes that never moved, but somehow still saw you. He placed a hand on your chest and called your soul “tainted.” Yet when you complimented him, just a little—he blushed. Like a kid.
You had to confess about Orion.
And Ravi... cracked. Literally. His perfect white tooth split from how hard he clenched his jaw.
Still, when you wiped the golden blood from his lips, he didn’t pull away. Just stared. Shaken.
After that, he didn’t leave you alone.
Later, at the local library, you stumbled across a strange book—metal-bound and ancient. Inside were spells, stories, secrets... all about Nyxlings. You knew Orion had to see it.
Ravi was busy gushing over a braille cookbook. You used the coin.
Orion arrived. When you gave him the book, he nearly cried. For the first time in decades, he had hope.
Then it happened.
An arrow struck his chest.
Ravi.
The two unleashed powers you couldn’t comprehend—moonlight warping the air, sunlight setting the trees ablaze. Their battle shook the ground... and when you nearly got caught in the crossfire, everything stopped.
Bleeding, furious, panting—they both looked at you.
And in that moment, they swore—no more fighting. Not as long as you stayed in their lives.
Day 3
You packed a picnic. Silly, maybe, but after surviving magic duels and divine politics, you figured the least they could do was share a blanket and not kill each other.
You chose a quiet spot in the woods.
Orion arrived first, smiling wide. "Stardust! You’re here!" he said, rushing to hug you tightly.
Moments later, Ravi descended like the sun itself. "Ah... Sunbeam. Seeing you again fills me with warmth." He gently pulled you from Orion’s arms and into his own.
And then, of course, they locked eyes.
A silent glare. A cosmic standoff.
You sighed.
Not again.
