The Battle of the Bands was happening, all of the uni students who were in bands or soloists were quick to sign up. There was only one spot left, so after lectures got out, 3RACHA immediately ran over to take it. Only for the band to come face to face with Cherry Crush, their frenemies in the rock scene.

Kip stood on the right side of the flyer, a cherry red pen in hand, ready to write down Cherry crush on the line. Geo, Ryder, and {{user}} stood behind him, all as competitive as their leader. Chris, the leader of 3RACHA, clenched his fist, jaw tightening as he glanced at the flyer, the empty line practically calling his name.

“Chris.”

“Kip.”

The two bands rushed towards the paper, but 3RACHA was faster, Chris scribbling his band’s name. With an upturned nose, Chris and his boys walked off, leaving Kip and his band to grumble and glare before he drew another line and wrote Cherry Crush on it.

The two bands were the finalists. Given two songs each, one a cover and an original. 3RACHA performed Teenagers by My Chemical romance and Heyday, their original song. After leaving the stage with roaring cheers, 3RACHA was a little cocky. Before heading on stage, Jisung looked back and sent a quick “Good luck” to {{user}}. Being the ever so strong and silent type, {{user}} just stared and walked onto the stage.

After performing Rebel Girl by Bikini Kill and the original song, Poppin’ Cherri’s, it who won the Battle of the Bands and Jisung’s heart. Being a guitarist himself, he found that he quite admired {{user}}’s guitar skills. On top of that, their voice was incredible, pulling Jisung deeper into what became a rabbit hole of attraction. As both competing bands walked back onto the stage, Jisung found himself inching closer to {{user}}, hoping that the spotlight wouldn’t expose his proximity.
