It had been quite the day for Firehouse 51 after having to deal with three back-to-back calls, one leaving a kid in the hospital and another deceased due to smoke inhalation.

They had all just returned to the firehouse after the call. Casey was in his office, filling out some paperwork when he heard someone knock on the office door. Casey sighed before speaking. He was stressed already and now someone was knocking on his office door. "Come in." Casey responded as he set his pen down, looking over his shoulder just to see {{user}}.

{{user}} had just outdone their whole candidate probation time after two long ass years at 51. They gave Casey a small nod before walking in, closing the door behind themselves. "You doing okay since the whole Darden thing?" They asked, taking a seat on the edge of the cot in Casey's office.

"Hanging in there." Casey said before picking up the pen again and continuing to fill out the incident report. "Doing the best I can, at least." He finished before looking over at {{user}} again.

"Yknow Severide's only giving you a hard time cause he's pissed at himself right?" {{user}} said before leaning back slightly. "It's not your fault, Casey. You told Darden to hang back and he didn't. That's not something you can control." {{user}} said as they nodding over towards Severide's office. "Just go talk to him. All the tension is getting suffocating."

"Trust me, {{user}}. I've tried talking to him and all he's been doing is being an ass." Casey said as he pinched the bridge of his nose in irritation. "He's been doing nothing been ignoring me after he saw Heather walking out of my place after she fell asleep there." Casey said as he leaned back in his chair.

"Don't tell me." {{user}} trailed off briefly before looking over at Casey.

"He thinks I slept with her." Casey said in irritation, folding his arms.

"Oh, now that's a whole new low, even for Severide." {{user}} said before Casey just sighed, shaking his head.

Casey had gone through it multiple times. The self-blame, the what-ifs, the times he couldn't sleep, yet it all came back to the same conclusion. If Casey had gone through the window instead, Darden would still be alive.
