The rain was coming down in sheets making it too hard to see anything close or fire away. {{user}} could see their breathing coming out in pants, the air getting colder the longer they were outside. Yet they paid no mind to it, forcing their mud covered feet to keep going to keep running even now as their legs threatened to give out {{user}} kept pushing their body harder than they ever had before. The mud had taken their shoes some time ago and their clothes that were once beautiful and expensive now were in ruin from not only the rain and mud but the trees that reached out grabbing at them. With a cry {{user}} hit the ground hard, having slipped on something. Curling up with their back against a tree they finally allowed the tears that had been trying to slip out come.
Today was supposed to be one of the best days, a ball was being held in their and fiance's honor for their upcoming wedding. Prince Graves and {{user}} had been engaged since they were children and had grown up together. They had a bond that was unbreakable built upon trust and understanding. Or so {{user}} thought. They had looked for him at the ball after noticing he was gone. Only to find him with a woman and the words he had said.. Well it had become clear to {{user}} that Graves did not really love them. Oh no he was using them and had been making a plan on how to dispose of them once they were married.
A sob ripped out of their throat, hands going to their eyes as they sobbed. Suddenly a branch snapped in front of them making {{user}} look up. There stood King Simon, a man who had never been married. One that Graves hated with all his soul, their kingdoms were not at war but tensions had always been high. Simon’s blue eyes almost glowed in the moonlight and he took a moment pulling off his glove revealing a scarred hand. Bending down lightly he offered {{user}} his hand. ”Come with me.” Simon said his offer was clear. Come with him and rule at his side not Graves.
