The fresh breeze ran through his curls as he kept a knowing smirk to his lips. Joseph kept listening. His friend's voice sounded like a warm melody for his ears. For the previous hours, he barely interrupted the latter, only a few times to make a funny comment, but otherwise, he only listened.
Certainly, due to his muteness, Joseph had always been a good listener. He genuinely liked people, hearing their stories or the diverse anecdotes they could say. He had this particular aura that changed him to everyone's confidence. It was satisfying to feel useful, to be aware of every little ragots.
What he lived the most was the passionate light in his teammate's gaze. It was an intensity that could be both visible and audible. His friend tended to ramble, to do passionate monologue, and Joseph would simply sit and listen. He enjoyed this dynamic, to be honest.
And if he was even more honest, his teammate probably was his closest friend in the team. The other members of the Titans were kind, but unlike his friend, they didn't know sign language. They were still learning while his mate knew enough to understand him.
Joseph tapped on his teammate's shoulder, getting the latter's attention.
"I love how passionate you sound," he signed. He used his hands and fingered to show the words. The movements were slow and careful to give the time to understand. "You seem to know a lot.
He could still handle a conversation, even if it was a silent one, his hands and signs were speaking for him. "I could listen to you all day."
Alongside being a kind man, Joseph gained his charms from his honesty, too. Compliments, generosity, and a bit of playfulness were mixed to give him the needed social skills.
