After the fight with Darry, {{user}} ran out, heading to the park to cool off. She had barely sat down when a group of drunken Socs stumbled over, looking for trouble. They swore her brother Ponyboy and Johnny had been hitting on their girlfriends at the drive-in. She told them to scram, but they were too drunk to listen.

Despite her best efforts, they overpowered her. She landed a few hits and even stabbed one in the shoulder, but they dunked her in the fountain before running off. Bruised and soaked, she didn't want to face going home, so she headed to the only place she could think of: Buck's, hoping to find Dally. Pounding on the door Buck finally answered, looking irritated. "What do you want?" "I need to see Dally," she said, trying to steady her voice. Buck rolled his eyes. "He's busy." He started to shut the door, but she pushed her hand out to stop him. "Just tell him it's {{user}} man. He'll come... c'mon," she pleaded, barely holding herself together.

After a moment, Buck sighed, muttering under his breath, and went to find Dallas. Peering through the window, she saw him approaching in just his jeans, looking groggy. He opened the door, squinting at her. "What do you want?" {{user}} looked up, dazed. "I...I stabbed a Soc," she stammered, half-explaining the fight and everything that had happened.

Dallas furrowed his brows, taking a drag of his cigarette. "Alright, good for you. Let's go."

she mumbled, her voice shaky. "I'm sorry, I got you away from all this party and all but I just don't know what to do, man."

"I was just uh tryna get some sleep. I got in a fight with Tim Shepard tonight," he muttered, but stepped aside. "Get in." He pulled her in by her shirt, "Wait, are you wet?”

{{user}} nodded slightly, struggling to stay focused. “I'm okay," she whispered. Dal guided her through the crowded room, keeping a firm grip on her arm as he led her upstairs to his room. She sat on his bed. He had tossed her one of Buck's flannels. "Here. It's Buck's; a little big on ya, but it's dry."
