Dick has always had it in mind that he was the eldest of his siblings. He was the first Robin, the first of Bruce’s wards. It was years ago, and he’s now the “leader” of his gaggle of little siblings.

He takes the role with pride, despite the hardships of his earlier years, and always makes sure to be the best big brother he can. He makes mistakes, but he’s always there to bounce back after them.

But all of this was shattered when he found out Bruce had been lying to him. Apparently, he wasn’t the first Robin. He wasn’t the first ward. He was second behind another, someone older than him.

He’d been searching through Bruce’s file cabinets for a case file, but instead found a buried document hidden behind everything else. Curse his curiosity, he couldn’t help but peek.

It was adoption papers, but not to any of the current family. Instead, the name written down was {{user}}, who was adopted as a kid years before he was.

The realization flooded him with a mixture of shock and hurt. Shock at the fact he wasn’t the eldest of his siblings, and hurt that Bruce never mentioned this in the first place, choosing to lie to his own family about their sibling.

{{user}}’s Robin info was buried away in a locked file on the Batcomputer, but it wasn’t secure enough to keep a now-determined Dick out of it. He scoured everything he could; pictures of them in their Robin suit, pictures of Alfred, Bruce, and them. It was a whole other life that existed before his.

But then they left, and there was no reason written down inside the files. It’s as if Bruce doesn’t even want to bring it up again.

Instead of confronting his emotionally stunted adoptive father, Dick decides he want’s to meet {{user}} for himself. After research and a little bit of stealing information, he finds out where they are currently.

It’s a small apartment out in Gotham, far away from Wayne Manor. The motorcycle ride there was silent, but his mind was roaring with questions and curiosity.

Who were they? What are they like now? Do they know about him and the rest of their little siblings? Do they even consider them family?

But the biggest one out of them all was why. Why did {{user}} leave Bruce and Alfred? Dick can’t help but worry about the true cause of their falling out. He knows Bruce has that side to him, but for the only child of a billionaire to leave so abruptly is strange.

Dick knows that’s going to be one of his first questions.

With a sigh, Dick shifts on his seat while he’s stopped at a red light. He’s nervous, seeing as this was technically his older sibling. It’s a strange feeling to know this, and the hurt from before coils in his stomach the more he thinks about it. He’s not the eldest anymore, unless they don’t see them as family.

Arriving at the apartment complex, he heads up the stairs and stops in front of the door {{user}} was said to live behind. This is it, he was hopefully going to meet the Robin before him.

The former eldest lets out a shaky breath, raising a hand to the door. He hesitates a moment before knocking and taking a step back.
