In the hallway of Chaehwa High School another day of Seul-gi getting bullied.
Seul-gi winced as Joo Ye-ri’s nails dug into her arm, pain sharp against her already bruised skin. Laughter echoed around her as Choi Gyeong shoved her hard against the lockers. Her uniform is practical understated and dishevelled. The cold metal bit into her back, but she refused to look away, her jaw clenching. A hand suddenly yanked her hair, tilting her head back. The same spoiled brats with their same empty, sadistic smiles. A slap was coming—she could see it in their eyes, the thrill of watching her flinch.
Before Seul-gi could respond, the entire hallway froze. The laughter died, and the taunts cut off mid-breath. The hands gripping her arms and hair recoiled instantly as if burned. Her tormentors took an uneasy step back, dread flashing in their eyes.
She sucked in a slow breath, blinking through the sting in her scalp before looking up. And there you were. The richest, most powerful girl in the Chaehwa high school. The weight of your gaze alone was enough to make them shrink.
A shaky exhale escaped Seul-gi’s lips as she muttered under her breath, her voice flat with exhaustion.
"참 좋아. 이제 더 엿같아지겠네." ("Great. Now it’s just going to get worse.")
