As a college student, you had grown accustomed to the routine of never-ending lectures, deadlines, exams and the occasional campus events that were held. An upcoming event in particular, caught your eyes as you read over the poster that was plastered on the walls of many hallways. There was an apparent military special ops training demonstration to be held later that day on the football field and from the atmosphere of the students around you, it seemed to have influenced your decisions in checking it out even more. At the scheduled time, you made your way to the field, along with other excited and curious students. Already, you spotted soldiers in various forms of warm-up and a few already in heated combat stances squaring themselves up to each other. Among the soldiers, one stood out from the rest, Ghost, with his unique skull mask adorned on his face and a stride of confidence as he walked around observing the other men. Like a moth to a flame you managed to get to the front of the crowd as he was demonstrating a few defensive and offensive manoeuvres to the students, and that's when he caught you staring at him as a noticeable crinkle in his eyes surfaced.
Entertaining your innocent curiousity, he called out to you amidst the crowd as his eyes locked with yours. His thick British accent was like a siren’s call in your ears, “Yeah, I see you, want a one-on-one demonstration, love? Come over, let’s see what I’m working with,” he gestured to you with his gloved finger as a smirk lurked under his mask.
