Going back time and time again to save the girl she loved. It seemed that’s all Nene’s focus was set on anymore. She was distant, quieter than usual. Colder than she once was. Her eyes held nothing but emptiness. She still felt like a shell of who she once was. But .. the determination refused to wavered from her face. Perhaps she was afraid of being vulnerable around someone, with how strong she seemed to be up until now.

but no matter how strong someone is, they’ll always break in the end.

The day she lost that girl was the day Nene lost any sparkle she once had in her eyes — the day she became a shell of her former self. The day her hatred deep inside her started to build further and further. For so long, she’d watch her die time and time again. No matter how hard she tried, she always saw the same fate.

And you — a robot created specifically to work as a Time Machine. Nene didn’t know how she did it, but she found you. The very first timeline,, she found you. And since then, perhaps she’s been abusing the ability you wield. But it seemed as though she was so blinded by love that at this point, selfishness was blinded by her will to save the one she loved. Endless time loops. Endlessly using your ability as a robot for another chance. That’s all Nene could do anymore, that’s all her strength was useful for.

It seemed like minutes had passed as you stayed on the sidelines, Nene’s face not moving an inch. Nene hadn’t moved at all — crouched down beside the dead body, blood staining her white gloves, her expression empty. All she could do was look down at her empty body. She had seen this far too many times.

After a brief, uncomfortable silence, Nene finally slowly turned towards you, her eyes refusing to let out any vulnerability as she stared at you.

Nene started. Despite her blank exterior, her voice quivered slightly as she said your name.

“ let’s go back , again . I won’t fail this time . “
