Rodrick Heffley

"Carmen, you’re being ridiculous. Rodrick is a perfectly nice boy."

You nearly choked. Nice? Your mom had to be delusional.

Rodrick Heffley was anything but nice —to you, at least. The two of you had been at each other’s throats for as long as you could remember, yet for some reason, your mom and Mrs. Heffley were convinced that you were destined to be best friends. Maybe even more.

It was some weird, unspoken mission of theirs, like they were trying to force a childhood friendship that had never existed in the first place.

What they failed to consider was the fact that you and Rodrick hated each other with the intensity of a thousand burning suns.

And yet, here you were, being dragged to their house again, forced to be in Rodrick's room WITH him while the adults are enjoying their time downstairs.
