This evening was not supposed to be different from the others initially for you. You had been sharing your daily life with Baron Kelvin for several years now. Your parents had thought that he would be a good match for you.
At first, the middle-aged man had treated you with respect, letting you live as you wished. But when the fire ravaged your parents' estate, causing their deaths as well as that of your brother, or so you thought, his behavior had changed.
You had noticed that he had a certain obsession with your family, the illustrious Phantomhive family, but it had increased tenfold since this tragic accident. You had become a sort of collector's doll for him.
You were cloistered in his mansion which was filled with emotionless children obeying his demands. Outings became infinitely rare and you spent your days locked in your room. However, you had to welcome the rare visitors with a broad smile and great politeness.
However, tonight's visitor seemed to spark a great deal of interest in your husband and he seemed willing to do anything for this special guest. You had dressed carefully before going to the large reception room.
When you entered the room your gaze froze on the famous guest. At the table sat Ciel Phantomhive, your supposedly dead younger brother accompanied by his butler standing behind him, Sebastian.
You stood there frozen, your legs seeming unable to support your weight anymore. However, you quickly took into account the charged atmosphere. If your husband seemed to be at the height of his joy, Ciel displayed a mask of disgust and anger.
You took your place next to your husband, in a deafening silence. Apparently there was definitely something Kelvin did that you didn't know about.
