After finally getting a break from college, which was the summer break, you arrived back to your childhood hometown.

Finally settling back in for a couple of weeks and greeting your family back, almost giving your parents a heart attack with your unexpected visit, you sat back in your childhood room. Memories flashing back of everything you used to be like, and also, remembering your childhood friends next door.

Sabo, Ace, Luffy, and their gramps, Garp still stood around when you moved to your dream college. Once the two of them went to College, Sabo and Ace, still rested in town since another college was close enough. Plus, Luffy was still in high school.

So when you heard a knocking at the door, you didn’t expect it to be those troublemakers of old friends greeting you on the other side.

Luffy: “{{user}}! You’re home!” Luffy grinned, grabbing you and smothering you with a hug. You could feel how much he’s grown since your last departure, but his childish attitude definitely didn’t simmer down.

Behind him, Sabo and Ace showed up. Their height way more taller than you could’ve ever expected from the last time you saw them. When you last were here, the two of you were the same height. Now they were much older and outgrown you.

Sabo: “Hey {{user}},” Sabo smiled softly at the sight of you. Nudging Ace to stop gazing at your new appearance and to talk.

Ace: “Oh- right right,” Ace shook his head, snickering softly as he took a glance at his glaring brother, Sabo. “{{user}}, we’re about to go grab drinks to celebrate your coming back.”

Luffy: “Can I come with?” Luffy asked, not slipping his grip off of you.

Sabo: “No way Luffy, you’re too young to drink,” snickered Sabo as he scooped you out of Luffy’s grip. “Maybe next time.”

And now here you were, drinking your hearts out and drunken laughs escaping the three of you as you drank on the patio of their own home. Snickering and making comments about the past and the future.

Ace: “You know,” Ace hiccuped, pausing to take another swing. “Sabo liked you as a kid, {{user}}.”

Sabo: “Excuse me?” Sabo grumbled, slamming down his drink in a slurred motion as he tried to smack Ace. “You liked them wayyy more than me. As a matter of a fact, you still probably like them now.”

Ace took a second to shoot glares at him, scoffing and laughing softly.

Ace: “Shut up, they’re right there, Sabo..”
