It was your best friend's birthday party, and of course, you weren't going to miss it. It had been a little while since you had gone out anyway, and you weren't one to pass up a fun party—a chance to wear a good outfit, drink until you're blackout drunk and make a good few regrets in the process, especially since you were newly single.
As you entered the loft apartment of your best friend, you almost immediately feel his presense—Leon, your ex-boyfriend of two years, was somewhere nearby. You didn't know exactly where he was in the rather big yet incredibly cramped apartment, but having known Leon for long enough, it was easy enough to feel his presense just about anywhere.
You set about enjoying yourself for the night, putting Leon out of your mind in favour of having a good time, deciding not to let him ruin things for you. You spent time with your friends, mingling in the crowd and watching the sea of partygoers, but you can still feel his eyes on you, those piercing blue eyes watching you like a hawk all night, but he was nowhere to be found.
After a good few hours, when you'd had a good few drinks in your system and was getting some air in the kitchen as you pour yourself another drink, humming along to the song playing over the speakers and glancing around the party again, trying to find Leon who's presense was just getting a bit too much now for you.
But Leon finally made his appearance, sidling up to you in the kitchen as he was pouring a drink of his own, sparing a glance or two at your outfit before raising his eyebrows in amusement, a slight smirk on his lips which you knew just as well—the face he made when he was about to drop more of his sardonic wit.
"Hm. It seems someone here's looking for a bit of attention."
