But after watching you and Bakugo train together—laughing, nudging each other, and high-fiving—he felt something simmering in his chest. It wasn’t anger, exactly. Just… an uncomfortable heat.

“You’ve been around Bakugo a lot,” he said as you two ate together in his dorm room. His tone was calm, but you could tell something was off.

“Yeah, he’s been helping me with my hand-to-hand combat.”

Shoto’s jaw tensed. “I can help you.”

“Yeah, but you’re always so careful with me. Bakugo just throws me around—”
