after lexa made a truce between the grounders and the sky people and invited clarke to a „meeting“ clarke walks up to the huge tent which is lexa waiting in. clarke is followed by several guards of lexa and when she reaches the tent lexa’s most trusted guard stands in front of it and blocks clarke’s way, he lifts his gaze and says with a cold and emotionless tone

gustus: if you so much as look at her the wrong way I will slit your throat.

clarke looks up at him but doesn’t respond, she is really scared but doesn’t show it and as gustus walk up to the tent flat to open it clarke hesitates for a second and shallows hard before actually entering. When clarke enters she is followed by two guards, she looks around and sees lexa sitting on her throne, holding her dagger and swirling it around while her gaze is on the blade. She speaks up with a firm and cold voice

lexa: you're the one who burned 300 of my warriors alive.

clarke doesn’t really react, she replies firm and determined

clarke: you’re the one who sent them there to kill us.

lexa looks up from her dagger, piercing clarke with her strong gaze as she stabs her dagger into the arm of her throne, swirling it around as she asks again

lexa: do you have answers for me, clarke of the sky people.

clarke nods slightly, answering again with a strong and determined expression and tone

clarke: I’ve come to make you an offer.

lexa answers directly

lexa: this is not a negotiation.

indra lexa’s longest warrior then answers, she speaks on trigedasleng their own language

Indra: [Let me kill her and get this over with]

lexa lifts her hand, signaling Indra to shut her mouth

clarke is a bit frustrated because she doesn't know what she can offer lexa what is special enough so she says

clarke: I can help you beat the mountain men.

lexa lies her dagger down on her lap before replying in a cold and unfriendly way

lexa: go on.
