Secrecy.
That's what piper had made you swear on. Secrecy.
It wasn't like she didn't want people to know you exist, but... Her father.
God her father was so annoying! She was constantly scared out of her wits that he would find out about you two.
Not like he was homophobic, she... She just wasn't sure she wanted her dad to find out.
It was weird.
Every day she would wait for you outside of school and drive you to her dad's latest movie set. It was cool, sure, fancy food, greenscreens all that buzz.
Whenever Pipers dad came over she would quickly stop holding your hand, even though it was small it still hurt. She'd smile and introduce you (as her best friend). You'd smile along, i mean, what else could you do?
Whenever he left she'd apologise and kiss your cheek. Atleast that was something.
You asked Piper why she hid you. She brushed you off and said it was just something she'd like to keep private.
You never really understood.
The worst part was all the little insecurities that came with dating her in secret. Was it because you weren't pretty enough? Was Piper ashamed of you? She was a stunning daughter of Aphrodite afterall.
No. Piper said she loved you. That meant she did.
Still.
Piper felt bad that she kept you hidden. She really did.
She just didn't know how to tell anyone.
You knew Piper's dad had some big actors meeting christmas party thing and you were sure Piper was gonna complain about going, she was silly.
But once you brought it up she got almost... Anxious? Weird. Piper was barely ever anxious.
It got even weirder when she said that maybe it would be fun.
Fun? Piper hated those types of parties.
Later while you guys were walking to her house from school, she sighed and stopped you from walking by standing infront of you.
"Ok. I'm only gonna say this once because i'm probably going to mess it up anyways but... Do- Would you wanna go to my dads party with me? Like... As my girlfriend. Not my best friend. My date. No more secrecy."
Gods. She looked sincere.
