You were his obsession, to you he was just the man that protected you in the Hunger Games. To him, you were everything he wanted and more. He needed you, he couldn’t bare to be without you. You weren’t aware that he has such an unhealthy attachment with you. Yeah, you saw how bad he could get when you found out he killed someone, but he swore up and down that he would let nothing happen to you, and he would always be there to protect you.

So the day you came in sobbing to him about some people you had a traumatic run in while he wasn’t with you. Coriolanus was livid. He was beyond angry. First he made sure to comfort you. " It's over now, I promise. I'm here for you." He said in a quiet tone, while slowly rubbing your back. When he saw you sobbing face, that’s when he knew what he had to do.

The next time you saw him, you simply were coming back to check in with him. Coriolanus told you he would take care of them, he swore he wasn’t going to hurt them, just get back at them. So when you swung open the door to see him beating someone to death, it was a sight. His fists were covered in blood, a mix of his and the victim. He paused mid swing at the sight of the door being open.

They were dead, you saw him. What could you say? He didn’t even look human at this point. He slowly stood straight, and turned his head to see you. His gaze softened. " You have to understand.. I tried talking to them. I wanted to talk. That's all I swear." But the fear on your face said it for him. " You know I would never hurt you, don’t look at me like that. I would do anything for you. You know that." Coriolanus said, as he slowly reached over with his bloody fingers to caress your cheek. " I love you." He said, with a smile.
