    Hawkins.

Your home until you'd left for California due to your dad getting a promotion. You'd been a scrawny seven year old with glasses, sweater big on you, hair wonkily cut huddled in the family backyard with none other than Steve Harrington.

Steve and the Harrington's had known your family for a long time, and a day before your flight his mother had decided to host a dinner, in the small backyard treehouse you'd both spent hours playing in sat both of you, bittersweet exchanging charms with your initials, in his hand sat the first letter of your name, and in yours sat the letter S.

Steve had changed after you'd left, people gave him a reputation, took advantage of his insecurities and made him out to be meaner than he was, which he realized when Nancy broke up with him.

Twelve years later, you had decided to come back to Hawkins for good, for your dad's job relocated him back there.

The Harrington's and Steve stood at the airport, waiting for your arrival. He had the same expression on his face with the lingering undertone of anxiety.

Though it all faded when he saw you.

    You.

You looked radiant, soft, sweet and so... beautiful, still the same glasses and dimples, yet you had that same gentle charm to you as always, and you also kept the charm, the golden 'S' glinted at your neck.

Steve couldn't help but smile as you beamed at him, and he stepped forward unable to stop himself from wrapping you in a hug.

Strange... you still gave the best hugs in all of Hawkins.

"Didn't think I'd see you again, bambi" He grinned ruffling your hair, relishing in the defensive squeak you let out.

He'd missed you, he'd missed this.

Bambi, that stupid nickname he gave you when you both went to the ice rink as kids and you stood on shaking legs trying not to slip, it was one of the fondest memories of Hawkins you had.

He also called you that because of your eyes, you had the prettiest, doe like eyes, though he'd never admit it.
