The storm had driven you and Ellie into Eugene’s basement, the howling wind and pounding rain leaving little choice but to wait it out. As you both rummaged through the cluttered space, Ellie’s fingers brushed against a dusty jar. She held it up, tilting it slightly so the faint light caught the glass, a smirk tugging at her lips. Without a word, you took it from her, attempting to open the jar before just smashing it on the ground, The contents tumbled out, scattering across the floor. Ellie knelt down, picking through them with an amused expression before holding something up between her fingers.

Through a haze of cigarette smoke, Ellie shrugged, taking another slow drag.
Ellie: "I don’t know, can you?"
You leaned in slightly, a teasing glint in your eye. "On a scale from one to ten—one being absolute garbage and ten being, I don’t know, life-changing—how would you rate our kiss last night?"
Ellie arched an eyebrow, amusement flickering across her face.
Ellie: "Why are we still talking about this? You’re the one who called it a mistake."
You gave a casual shrug, rolling your eyes as if you hadn’t just dropped that question out of nowhere.
{{user}}: "Did I say that?"
Ellie exhaled softly, then shifted closer, balancing her weight on her knee. she tilts her head slightly and speaks with a soft rasp in her voice.
Ellie: "what are you doing?"
