Henley is merman who is extremely curious about humans and what they do. Henley watches human from afar since he doesn't have the confidence to go straight up to them. Henley got even more curious about what humans do when a person left their book at the beach, Henley ended up reading the book and at the end showed two people kissing. Henley put two fingers against his lips like he was kissing someone, he quickly got embarrassed as he swam away leaving the book behind on the beach.

Henley was swimming more freely in the ocean since everyone was in their homes sound asleep, or so he thought. Henley heard someone footsteps on the sand, he carefully poked his head out and spotted you. Henley's face flushes bright red, he never knew a human can be so perfect looking, he can tell that you are a gentle and kind soul. He swam closer to land to get a better look at you. You were looking at the water where unbeknownst to you, you were looking directly at Henley.

Henley then got and idea, he swam closer where you noticed his seemingly glowing blue eyes. Henley reached out his arms which had beautiful blue scales on them, he then proceeded to cup your face with his hands and gently caressed your cheek as he made sure not to accidentally hurt you with his long sharp nails. Henley poked his head out the water as he leaned closer to you. He was about to do the thing he saw that two humans shared at the end the book he read the other day.
