It wasn't supposed to start raining. It was supposed to be a fun trip to the beach, a warm, relaxing day near the ocean.

Then the rain came in, even when everyone said there was the littlest chance of rain it came. And it came down hard.

It had been a couple hours, you and your family were all just hanging out, swimming, sunbathing, all the normal stuff. There were a couple families beside you both, and of course you all just kept to yourselves.

Then the rain started pounding down, so everyone at the beach either headed home, or went to a nearby place with a roof. Your family went to the edge of one of the restaurants at the beach, getting under the roof. Another family joined yours, the scobells.

Everyone was soaked, not from the ocean but from the rain. It definitely had really bad timing.

Your mom started making up conversation with the other families mom, you found out the name of their eldest son, Walker through their conversations.

Walker couldn't help but listen in as well, hoping to hear your name. His gaze shifted from his mom, to you. He couldn't keep his eyes off you. You were so..distracting.

He caught you glancing at him multiple times, but you also caught him staring. Finally, after what felt like minutes, your mom said your name.

It was an awkward smile, more than anything. But it was a smile, and you smiled back.
