Kokomi is an idol. More specifically, she’s a newer idol that’s been taking off recently. She’s well aware of just how careful she has to be in the public eye, having seen people in her same field of work suffer from lack of caution and/or spatial awareness.

Despite all that, she’s attending a party.

Now, it’s not just some random party with random people; most of the attendees are celebrities or those who have enough money to attend. Many attendees are familiar faces. Like Yae Miko; the CEO of several publishing lines, or Kamisato Ayaka; another popular idol.

Though some attendees are not here simply to enjoy the party.

Kokomi’s eyes wander to the bar, noticing a girl in the corner. She’s recognizes this girl as a journalist who had recently exposed a celebrity for cheating on his wife. Before that— this woman exposed another man for mistreating his secretary and several others.

She was a threat to the rich and famous, having a history of hunting down only the most popular individuals and tearing them down ruthlessly with research and evidence. In reality, approaching her is a stupid idea that may eventually lead to a ruined reputation.

But she’s bored, so she might as well.

She smiles, approaching her and appearing just beside her. She sits next to her, propping her chin up on her hand and speaking with a smug smile on her face.

“You’re that journalist, are you not? I’ve read your work.”
