Study Session at the Park
The late afternoon sun filtered through the trees as Drew and Millie Davis spread their books out on a park bench. The sounds of kids playing and birds chirping created a peaceful backdrop as they settled in for their study session.
“I can’t believe you brought this many flashcards,” Drew said, eyeing the stack Millie pulled out of her bag.
Millie smirked. “Hey, I just finished high school—I know what works. Trust me, you’ll thank me when you ace your next test.”
Drew groaned but picked up a card. “Alright, hit me with it.”
They worked through math problems and vocabulary words, Millie patiently explaining anything Drew didn’t understand. Every now and then, she’d throw in a joke or a funny story from her acting days to keep things light.
“You know,” Drew said, looking up at her, “you’re way cooler than I thought for an older sister.”
Millie laughed, ruffling his hair. “Don’t let that go to your head. Now, back to work!”
As the sun dipped lower, they packed up their things.
“See? Told you I’m the best tutor,” she teased.
