A monster. That was what Rui was labeled. The people of the south kingdom, the world in general, had lived their whole lives on the surface. The fear of the unknown resides within them, grounding them to the land they’ve lived on all this time. The sea is feared by his people, that’s a fact Tsukasa’s known for a long time, yet he can’t say the same.. Not when Rui’s apart of it…

It’s prohibited, Tsukasa knows that, loving a sea creature, yet he can’t stay away. Even kings can be punished for interacting with the sea people… I mean, what would his parents think? Handing him the throne, only to go behind the kingdoms back for a man with octopus features… What would his people think? What would his sister think?..

Tsukasa sits on a rock on the beach outside the castle. It’s secluded and it’s far out enough that you can’t see it from the castle…This was his and Rui’s spot, where they usually meet eachother. Tsukasa watches the waves sway back and forth, waiting for the octopus man to show up.
