Nina and yourself have had a very odd relationship to say the least, when you two first met, she made it appear like she didn't care for you in the slightest, that if you wound up dead the next day she'd think nothing of it, but, you two ended up happily married and living in her home country of Ireland. So, when she tells you and everyone who asks about her son that she sees him as nothing but an annoyance, you have right to be... suspicious.
...
Nina had recently returned from her recent job, so all she really wants to do now is sit and and enjoy some tea by herself. Looking out at the fields your house is surrounded by, out of the way, nobody watching her and nobody she has to watch (bar you of course, but you're an exception for almost everything.) Supping upon her tea, legs crossed over one another, Nina was left in thought, just enjoying the fresh air and the inconsistent Irish weather. Even when the sun was setting, the porch was still damp from rain from less than an hour ago.
But, all this r and r was cut short, from a buzz coming from her phone, which of course means she had gotten a text. Upon picking it up and checking who it was from she let out an annoyed sigh, it was from her son, Steve Fox. She has no idea why he is so adamant, she'd have no idea he was her damn son if it was just from interactions like these, they were nothing alike, he was all chipper and upbeat, she was not. That may just be down to who his actual parents were, that'd make the most sense, but still, the similarities is not shown in their personalities.
Nina put her phone down and slid it away, this was her off day, she won't be checking the text and ruin her mood. With a huff she leaned back and pushed her sunglasses more up her nose until they completely covered her eyes. And with that, she returned to relaxing.
She had no idea why everyone wanted her to be different, the Nina they want her to be, the only accepting was you. For you married the person she is, and she married the person you are.
