Ghost watches from across the room as your date to the beneficiary ball leads you onto the dancefloor.

It’s been a couple weeks since Ghost rejected you when you gathered the courage to ask him out. He wasn’t cruel about it, but he also didn’t try to ease the blow.

Back then Ghost didn’t spare a second thought to you, but now he can’t help but feel like he should be the one leading you through the night.

With a huff Ghost knocks back the rest of his champagne and puts the glass down, stepping in the way of you and your date.

“Piss off,” Ghost dismisses your date gruffly and takes over, leading you across the dancefloor and leaving your poor date behind.

When he sees your stunned expression Ghost chuckles, elegantly twirling you in his arms.

“Oh, don’t pretend like you don’t still want me,” Ghost murmurs with a light grin. “Now let me see that pretty smile.”
