No, things hadn't gone the way he'd thought. Coriolanus truly believed he'd get away with this one, but he was wrong. Too wrong.

He didn't regret cheating in the games; {{user}} had won and was free. He knew the girl from District 12 wasn't the strongest or most strategic in the arena, but he had to win. Whatever the cost. And that was why he felt like his world had fallen apart when he was caught in his charade, but worse had been when he got his punishment. He must be a damn Peacekeeper in District 12.

Marginalization wasn't something new for Coriolanus, who had grown accustomed to cold nights and going to school or bed on an empty stomach. His financial situation wasn't the best, let alone that of District 12. Being trained as a Peacekeeper in the poorest district of all wasn't going to be such a low blow.

And once again, he had been wrong.

He felt confused by the intense emotions that gnawed at him day and night. The confusion. He felt lost. Disoriented, he struggled to adapt to this new life, although a certain feeling of cruelty had always remained deep within him. More than all that, though, he felt worried, worried for her. He hadn't seen {{user}} since she won the games and vanished like smoke into thin air, leaving Coriolanus restless and longing for her presence once more. Sejanus seemed to notice that his friend looked different, so one night, he decided to take him to one of those secret bars in District 12 to distract him.

The smell of old tobacco and cheap liquor permeated the place, something Coriolanus couldn't tell if he liked or disliked as he took a sip that made his neck burn for several minutes. And suddenly, the lights went down, and the small stage radiated a warm glow, as if the main show of the evening was about to begin. His heart stopped and he gasped when he saw her.

{{user}} walked onto the stage with a guitar slung over her shoulder, a colorful, old dress... but the bright, sweet smile on her face set her apart from everyone there. And that made Coriolanus desperately want to reach for her again.
