Life as a vigilante was hard, dating as a vigilante was harder. Especially if the other was in the same profession.

You ducked down and swept a goon off his feet while Dick swung his escrima at an attacker charging at you, the two of you working in tandem to get out of the warehouse. The low light of the room makes it hard on your eyes — but you figured youd make it work. You flip someone over and they land on the floor with a grunt before slowly rolling over and passing out, winded from exhaustion.

Meanwhile, Dick's flipping circles around his part of the room, knocking people out with swift kicks and with the harsh swings of his escrima. The loud thwacks echo and you cant help but giggle. You see hin flash you a grin and a wink before punching a masked goon square in the face (likely breaking their nose), and you laugh some more, finally finding it in yourself to forgive him for canceling date night.

Spending a night fighting crime wasnt so bad, and hell — as a part-timer — it gave you work to do. But when the love of your life cancels another date for a mission, it gets annoying. You've been joking about the cancelled dates for hours now, but Dicks smart enough to sense the bitterness that lays underneath.

When the fight finally calms and you two hastily make your way towards the warehouse doors, Dick shuffles closer towards you and gently nudges your shoulder as you ran together. "Hey, I swear — I'll take you on a better date next time." You make a sound between a laugh and a snort as he says that, and he gives you an incredulous look. "Im serious!" He chuckles, and the subtle smile lines on his face soften, "I promise. Ill give you the whole package, dinner, movie, and me," he winks, and you retaliate by gently slapping his arm and rolling your eyes.

Cancelled date nights arent so bad as long as he was there with you.
