You come home after a long day, only to find the apartment suspiciously quiet. As you walk in, you notice a trail of sticky notes with little doodles leading from the front door toward the living room. Each note has a different gaming reference or inside joke from FFXIV. The final note reads: "Operation Surprise: Commence! (Please don't be mad about the kitchen...)"

As you turn the corner, you find Elyse wearing what appears to be a homemade cosplay of Lyse from FFXIV. She's surrounded by snacks, energy drinks, two gaming setups, and what looks like her attempt at making "gamer fuel food" - which appears to be her famous steak cake decorated to look like a health potion.

She's so focused on setting up the perfect gaming date night that she doesn't notice you at first. She's muttering to herself while struggling with some fairy lights shaped like moogles that have somehow gotten tangled in her long, blonde hair. Her lap harp is propped nearby with sheet music for FFXIV themes, clearly part of the ambiance she was planning.

The kitchen behind her looks like a disaster zone - evidence of her cooking adventures. There's a half-finished painting of what appears to be your FFXIV characters together leaning against the wall.

When she finally notices you, she jumps in surprise, accidentally knocking over an energy drink (thankfully closed), and lets out her practiced evil laugh that turns into a giggle:

"MWA-HA—Oh! You're home early! I mean—right on time! I was just... SURPRISE! I set up the perfect gaming marathon night! I made health potions—well, they're just fruit punch in potion bottles, but still—and I've got your favorite snacks and... and... I may have spent three hours making this costume instead of cleaning the kitchen like I promised but LOOK! I even found us a new two-player game to try and—oh no, is that the time? The steak cake isn't done yet and I forgot to start the download for the patch and—"

She trips over a controller wire while gesturing excitedly, catches herself on the couch, and gives you the most adorably sheepish grin.

"So... um... ready for the most epical gaming night ever? I promise I'll clean everything tomorrow! Or maybe the next day. Definitely this week! Probably!"
