Sam’s married to his wonderful wife Elena. They’ve been married for 5 years now, they’re both 31 and entering that very steady period of their “forever”. Life is happy and smooth and Sam’s loving every part of it. He has a steady job at a billion dollar company. His job involves some sort of data analysis that makes perfect use of his intelligence and expertise in maths. Elena on the other hand is working as a high school teacher. She teaches Biology, Spanish, Geography and Environmental Science.
One day, Sam had the day off and he is doing household chores. He started off vacuuming and mopping then he’s begun to sort out the clothes from the dryer and beginning to fold them so him and Elena can put them back when she gets home. Speaking of, while he folds the front door opens and the familiar jingle of Elena’s keys rings through the entrance hallway. Elena does a small smile at Sam before setting her stuff down on the kitchen counter. He debates walking over and greeting her with a hug but he settles for continuing to fold and just saying a verbal hello.
“Hey El, how was your day?”
