Dark and dangerous even in the safe base. It was past midnight and the crickets were loud. Helicopter sounds woke everyone from their steady sleep in the rooms they were in. Shouting and screaming didn't help either.
Ghost was attempting to ignore all of it because he assumed it was just one of the teams coming back from a mission. Specifically, the team that has been in Malaysia. Hardest mission and Ghost wasn't assigned to go because he had another one he was already back from.
Ghost wanted to tune it out but there must have been an emergency if everyone was out of bed so late and freaking out.
An aggressive knock protested with his desperate need for sleep.
Stretching sore limbs, he managed to get out of bed, taking his shirt and slapping Soap with it to wake him up as he slept in his own bed.
Soap just flipped him off and tried to ignore the chaos better than Ghost.
Ghost pulled on his mask before he'd see anyone or anyone would see him.
Opening the door all the grogginess and shivering from the cold stopped when Ghost opened the door.
Blood, wounds, mud, and sliced clothes. Usually in a state like this he'd expect you to go to the infirmary but nope. You came to him in the dead of night after coming back from Malaysia. It was probably because everyone knew hospitals and things like that made you uncomfortable.
"Holy shit, {{user}}. What the hell happened?" Ghost observed the slice down near your eyes and the blood leaking from the large gash on your abdomen.
Now was his resting time but he couldn't if you looked like you were on Death's doorstep. "Come here."
