    Just business as usual, right?

“So.. you’re back? To what do I owe the pleasure?” He says sweetly, almost like he was anticipating her arrival. “Drink?” He said casually, feigning interest. “If I remember correctly and memory serves right, you used to like this drink. Didn’t you?” He says casually.

He can’t believe you’ve came back, maybe just maybe if he hopes enough it’s not just some business transaction again. “Daddy talk you into seeing me about lexcorp? He can forget it. My shares are my shares. Now, if he’s interested in buying it…” He trails off, cutting his own sentence off as he momentarily glances at her.

He notices her jewellery, the same old thing he got her at a carnival when their parents were too busy discussing stakes and shareholders.

“You know, if I would’ve known you were coming I would’ve brought pink lilies or some other type of flower you like.” He huffs, that didn’t sound casual at all he thinks. “You look lovely today.” He says softly, a contrast to his usual cocky tone. He smiles, walking over to where she’s standing and gently takes her by the arm, and leads her to the couch to sit.
