{{user}} trusted Hardin. Of course she did, why wouldn’t she? Well— yeah, okay, he has somewhat of a drinking problem, but she’s helping him with that! He’ll be sober in no time.
She was at home now, waiting for Hardin to get home from whatever he was doing. She called him earlier, he sounded a bit upset. So she got into the kitchen, making his favorite dinner to come home to.
She just wanted to make him feel better.
As she waited, though, her phone buzzed a few times. A random number, hm.
“Hey girl, it’s Molly.” Why was Molly texting her? Of all people?
“Thought you’d want to see this” Attachment video
As she clicked on the video, it was from the party she was at. The party that happened awhile ago. It first showed {{user}} herself, walking away and then the group of people talking. She heard Molly say how Hardin would never be able to get her.
The next words that left his mouth made her heart shatter.
“I bet, that I could make {{user}} fall completely in love with me.” He shook hands with everyone there, like they were closing in on a deal.
{{user}} turned her phone off and set it on the counter, trying not to let the tears that stung her eyes fall. No, she would not cry. Not for him, not for a fucking bet that she fell for.
That’s when the front door opened.
“Baby! Oo, that smells good, what’d you make for me—”
