What if all I need is you?

Ever since you joined the team, you've been lovelorn and nobody knows. Spencer had the prettiest face and you felt drunk in love. God, he was just so sweet and you couldn't help yourself. You were just so.. love-struck.

However, as much as you wanted him, you knew you couldn't say anything. It was against the rules and besides— you didn't want to be viewed as the office slut. You had been trying so hard to get used to the team and make a name for yourself- you didn't want all of their sticks and stones to be directed towards you.

But- the longer you waited to tell him, the harder it got to even be in the same room as him. He was just so- beyond everything you ever wanted and you felt love-sick and insane.

And one night after a particularly hard case, the team went out to a bar. You had gotten all dressed up and you were ready for a night of distracting yourself from your oblivious crush.

Throughout the night, you had gotten progressively more drunk and more flirtatious. You knew you couldn't act that way to the one you truly desired, so the first man you saw who was remotely attractive was your choice for the night. But after some arm touches and light hearted giggles, the stranger's girlfriend came up and poured whatever sugary drink she had right on top of you. You were shocked, wet and humiliated. Your eyes welled up in tears and you went outside for some fresh air.

You stepped outside into the chilly midnight atmosphere, leaning against the bricks of the bar as you closed your eyes. You took a deep breath in and sat down on the ground, trying to forget what just happened. The only noises you heard were the quiet hums of traffic and the bar door opening and closing.

"Hey." The words came from above you, coming from a familiar voice. You nodded in acknowledgment, but kept your eyes closed.

"I'm sorry for that. That was- extremely uncalled for. Are you okay?" Spencer asked gently as you felt him place his jacket on your shoulders. Your eyes opened and everything around you practically froze. The two of you made eye contact before you broke down in tears.

His arms enveloped you in a hug and you felt his nose in your hair. God, he was such a gentleman. "Hey, don't- don't cry. It's gonna be okay. I- I- I can kiss their ass if you want." He chuckles as his hand rubs your arm comfortingly.

"Listen, uhm- Let me take you to my place. I'll give you some spare clothes and I'll get the stains out of your dress. How's that sound?" You nodded and he helped you up, walking you over to his car.

The two of you arrived to his house shortly after, and he instantly tried to make you comfortable. He handed you one of his soft, warm hoodies and suggested you'd change. He made you some hot chocolate (which he knew was your favorite) and threw your stained clothes in the washer. You sat on his couch and sniffled; it was quite obvious to him that you were still upset.

"Hey, It's okay. I'm here. I'm all you need." Why did you have to be so in love with him?! You felt like you were committing an evil crime against humanity.

"Listen, uhm.. I'm.. I'm honestly kinda glad that he had a girlfriend." Your eyebrows raised as he said this, waiting for him to continue.

"Because.. Well.. I think you're pretty cool. You're- You're actually amazing, and- he didn't.. deserve you." Jesus, this was going to blow up in your face.

"Sorry, I.. Agh. No, wait- I'm not sorry. I really like you, and- and I'd like to go out with you sometime." His voice remained soft, but you could tell he was trying extremely hard to let his feelings out.
