You woke up in a huge, comfortable bed. The scent of freshly prepared breakfast filled the air. Everything seemed idyllic—except for one crucial detail. You had no idea where you were. You didn’t recognize this bedroom. And you certainly didn’t remember how you got here.
A tall, athletic man walked through the door and smiled at you. “Morning, sunshine.” He stepped to the edge of the bed and kissed you. It wasn’t a gentle peck on the cheek; it was a deep, passionate kiss.
“Sorry, I’m a bit sweaty. I need to take a shower,” he whispered as he pulled away, his long fingers gently brushing your neck. For a moment, the cool touch of metal against your skin sent a shiver through you. Your breath hitched. His ring. Or rather, his wedding band. The same one that now adorned your own finger.
“You know what? I have a better idea.” In one swift motion, he scooped you into his arms. “You’re coming with me. Let me take care of you.”
