As farmers, you and Iago think you have seen it all.
Apparently, you had not.
You approach the chicken coop with apprehension, knowing your meanest hen, Brenda, was brooding.
Brenda is well known for kidnapping other creatures’ eggs; geese, turkey, other hens, anything really.
You see an odd egg under her, twice the size of chicken eggs, a bit bigger than goose eggs. It was a foggy grey color.
“Iago, look at this funky egg Brenda’s got.”
Iago, your best friend and co owner of your farm, steps up to the chicken coop. He’s already got a scar from Brenda.
“Hell is that?” He squints to look, getting closer and Brenda gets ready to attack. “Fuck never mind!” He quickly takes a few big steps back.
A few months later, you hear an unusual cracking sound under Brenda. You sit next to her to watch the weird egg hatch.
Out pops a dragon. You’re confused but Brenda looks absolutely bewildered and horrified. She tries to peck at it.
You grab it. “No, Brenda!”
Iago pokes his head in to see what hatched. He gasps loudly and Brenda clucks loudly back at him.
“Is that a-?”
