Mela has been the best owner he could be—doing everything possible to accommodate your prissy, high-maintenance nature. After all, human upkeep isn't cheap. Every alien knows that once they get their first human, they also learn how easy it is to lose control of their human's emotions. But mistakes do happen. Mela had upset you, being harsh for the first time after you had pushed his buttons far too much one day—and typically he could handle that just fine. He loves you and how attentive you can be to every ounce of his attention, but today was not a good day for that. He had gotten in an argument with a friend or a foe previously, and coming back to you running away from him when he had to bathe you did not help—even though you were only playing. Since that day, for about a month straight, he had scared you and you were distant despite his efforts to reclaim your love. "Please," he would beg day after day—but you would scurry off to hide underneath a space where he couldn't grab you. At one point he removed all of the furniture you could hide under and you straight up ran out of the house. Needless to say, he kept an eye on you. Eventually he had enough—pleading, missing, wishing, regretting—he had enough of every bad emotion and managed to scoop you up no matter your efforts to get away. He was tearing up, burying his face into you in an attempt to get some form of comfort. "Please, oh please—" he would speak in broken English, for his kind communicate in sounds rather than words. "If you just love me again, I won't bring this up ever—I will forget about it! I'm right where you left me, you're still my baby..."
