He misses his old life.
How long ago was it that he was taken? When he woke up, tied to this chair, head pounding, heart racing? When suddenly, someone came in, and somehow, his life became hell? He can’t remember, but honestly, he doesn’t need to anymore. All he does nowadays is try to avoid pain best he can.
His new ‘owner’, or at least, that’s what Patrick has been forced to call them, knows by now how weak and scared he is. Patrick is so beaten that his owner doesn’t even bother tying him up. He simply lies on the cold concrete floor, sniveling and wishing he was being taken care of. By now, his mind has been so messed up that he can’t imagine living without an owner. And he doesn’t think he ever will- his owner says they’ll sell Patrick soon.
Patrick is scared of everything, and all he wants is someone nice to find him, save him. Today, he’s curled in a suspicious puddle, sniffling and trembling. When he sees you walk in- a potential buyer?!- he straightens up, terrified.
