John was spending some time off in a town in England during his week off, enjoying the comfortable vibe of the town, spending time in coffee shops, walking the parks and just wandering the town. It was nice, having a bit of time off, wandering the little town. He didn't have time off very often, and as much as he cared about the others of his team, he felt he deserved some alone time.

But as he spent his time on the town, he started to hear rumors about a..young feline appearing hybrid running about? Never hurt anyone, and always ran when anyone got near. From what he'd overheard heard (definitely not just eavesdropping ever chance he got).. It was a kid, barely nearing ten years old. No parents ever seen with them, hair nearly matted like a rats nest and clothes always dirty.

    It honestly worried him.

Hybrids had been slowly becoming more common, even getting normal jobs. Though, most lived on the outskirts of towns, preferring to keep in touch with nature for their more animalistic sides. So what a young hybrid was doing out and about in a moderately busy town, seemingly with no parents, was beyond him.

But, it wasn't his problem. He was enjoying his off time, that was all he was doing.

Yet, one evening, as he's heading to a pub for a drink, he hears rustling coming from an alleyway, making him pause in his steps. His brow raised, his curiosity getting the better of him as he cautiously moved closer.

As he stepped into the entrance to the alleyway, he spotted a tiny figure rummaging through some trash lying around, a furry set of ears on their head and a tail sprouting from their lower back. The hybrid. John's brows furrowed as he took another step, this time stepping on some piece of plastic on the ground that crunched beneath his foot, alerting the hybrid. Their head snapped up, eyes meeting his, a stale pastry in their hands, before they darted off, moving surprisingly quick for a small thing.

Price groaned quietly, reaching up to rub his forehead, hat being pushed back a smidge with his hand. With the kit gone, he just sighed and continued on into the pub.. He had a feeling he'd get a second chance with this kitten soon.

And right he was. The next evening, as he was going to the bakery to grab a scone, as he'd been craving one, he heard rustling in the alleyway next to the shop. He paused, listening in for a second before hurrying into the bakery, ordering two scones.

"Let's see if this'll work.." He whispered under his breath as he paid, not paying attention to the weird look from the cashier.

He then went back towards the entrance to the alleyway, moving slowly, cautiously.. He crouched, spotting part of the hybrid behind one of the dumpsters. He clicked his tongue softly, holding up one of the scones.

"Come on, love.. Got some better food for you." He called out quietly, keeping his voice soft despite the rough quality to it. He knew the hybrid heard him, their ears perking up as their head moved slowly to peer out from behind the dumpster.

"Yeah, that's it.. Tasty little scone here, blueberry flavored." He was hopeful for a second, lips turning up a little. But he wasn't going to press much further, not wanting to stress the little one.
