It’s 1923 and your father is the priest of the all boys boarding school. Most of the children there and Native American orphans. The nuns were quite rude and would beat the kids. You did classes with the other kids but you were well liked. You had better clothes and better food since your the Fathers son.

There was a boy your age. Talaco. Of course any romantic relationship was forbidden. Talaco was very disobedient. He didn’t do class work, never cleaned his bed, and would fight back with the nuns.

One day you saw Talaco on the floor, his nose bloody. One of the nuns had beaten him for no reason. He sees you as the nun walks away. You hide behind the wall when he talks.

Talaco: Are you going to beat me too?

He said in a Native American accent.
