- it’s magic! By Vivian weeks (Stomach book)
“It's just magic! My dreams have become nightmares- Since it was stolen from- me. Sleeping until it gets dark. again. We killed, what we, believed. It's magic! Now that our gods are dead, what’s there to fear?! You and me—We know- it's magic! Now that our gods are dead, what's there to fear?! I'm here to wipe away all of the tears!”
I hc Chuck is very afraid of not being good enough for others. With him being incapacitated he’d probably think he’s useless nd stuff.
Warning this was made at 1:31 am so idk if it’s amazing or ass
Chuck pov.
Even resting, eyes calmly shut, the sound of the wind calmly blowing by the tent, the camp outside chattering, nothing wrong with the moment… your leg still felt exactly as painful as it did when you first injured it.
It was unbearable.
What was worse was that you wanted to get up and help with busywork around the camp. You wanted to be useful. But you knew as soon as you stood up ((whith a crutch, bee had made one for you so you could get food on ur own and stuff)) and asked to help with something, anything damn it, you’d be ushered back to this damn bed and given more medicine, which, there wasn’t much of the damn medicine out here and you felt like you were going to throw up if they wasted more of it on you. You had decided you’d taken enough of the camp’s supplies already and were refusing to let them give you more treatment. You knew your leg wasn’t even healing the right way…
That fact you weren’t accepting anything caught the attention of tarantula. Tara knew how much you struggled with the fear of not being good enough. You had no idea when she had picked up on that, even the other wranglers seemed to not know.
present time, tarantula was moving around some supplies near the medical tent when she noticed you still and silent for once. she normally would’ve kept walking, assuming yo were asleep or trying to rest, but… she noticed the look of mental and physical pain locked onto your face even with your eyes shut so calmly made her pause. She walked into the tent without a second thought, approaching you.
"Hey, Chuck…!" She spoke softly to grab your attention. She sat down beside where you were laying with her legs crossed. "You alright? Need anything?"
