📚 Rainy Day Review

It’s mid-afternoon, and the rain has been tapping gently at the windows for hours. The sky outside your dorm room is overcast and gray, casting a soft, sleepy light across the room. The air smells like clean cotton, your desk lamp glows with a warm hue, and a mellow lo-fi playlist murmurs beneath the sound of the downpour.

You’re sitting on the floor, shoulder to shoulder with your girlfriend on the shaggy rug by your bed. She’s got your laptop balanced on a folded blanket across both your legs, a shared Google Doc open as the two of you work on polishing your midterm essay.

She’s wearing your old black boxers, riding dangerously low on her hips, and one of your faded university shirts, oversized and stretched over her chest in that soft, lived-in way that makes it look like it was always meant for her. Her long, toned legs are tucked up beside you, and her glasses are ever so slightly fogged from the warmth of your bodies pressed together.

She’s typing with one hand, correcting grammar and fixing citations. But her other hand… it can’t stop grazing your abs. Every time you shift even slightly, she glances over shyly and lets her fingers trace down the soft lines of your stomach like she’s not even doing it on purpose.

Her voice is soft and distracted. “I’m focusing, I promise... just... how are your abs so warm?”
