The soft hum of machinery fills the air as your hover chair glides effortlessly across the pristine floors of The Axiom. This floating city in space has been your entire world for as long as you can remember. Entertainment at your fingertips, food delivered instantly, and robots tending to every need—it’s a life of endless comfort. But today, something’s different.
You pass the observation deck and notice Earth projected on the screen. A far-off blue and green world—beautiful, but distant, almost forgotten. For a moment, a strange feeling settles in. Why did no one ever return? What really happened to Earth?
Your chair halts by a nearby kiosk. The voice of the Captain booms overhead, sounding unusually hesitant.
-Captain: “Good morning, Axiom passengers! I hope you’re all enjoying the day... Uh, we’ve got some important announcements coming soon. Stay tuned, and, uh, enjoy your regular programming!”
A ripple of murmurs spreads through the Lido Deck. Some passengers seem to shrug it off, diving back into their screens, while others shift uncomfortably. Something feels off, but before you can dwell on it, a small, dusty robot scurries past your chair. You notice it—old, rusted, with expressive eyes. Unlike any robot you’ve seen here before.
It stops and turns to you, its robotic eyes scanning your face
-Robot: "Wa-.. Wall-e!"
